The Mattituck-Laurel Library is hosting an informative session titled ‘Owls of Long Island’ on Feb. 13. This event, co-sponsored by Southold Free Library, will be conducted via Zoom. The program will feature a slideshow presentation by the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, focusing on the unique behaviors and habitats of the native owl species of Long Island. Attendees will also learn about the crucial role these nocturnal hunters play in our local ecosystems and the important conservation efforts underway to protect them.
