Peconic Bay Medical Center will host its 10th Annual Caregiver Conference on Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Hotel Indigo East End in Riverhead.
This conference was started 10 years ago to highlight National Caregivers Month in November and it continues as a community event to recognize and support the vital role family caregivers play in the care of their loved ones.
This in-person event provides family caregivers with access to valuable resources, education, activities to support self-care and is an opportunity to connect you to a community that supports family caregivers.
The keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Sandeep Jauhar, cardiologist and best-selling author of “My Father’s Brain: Life in the Shadow of Alzheimer’s,” named the best book of 2023 by New Yorker magazine.
The event takes place from 9:30 a,m. to 1:30 p.m. Hotel Indigo East End is located at 1830 West Main Street (Route 25), Riverhead, NY 11901.
