The William Ris Gallery is opening its doors for a special reception on July 27, honoring three artists: Julie Friedman, Deborah Katz, and Stacey Schuman. Each of these artists draws their inspiration from nature and is dedicated to preserving it. Their artwork, a reflection of their individual impressions of the environment, will be on display for the first time at the gallery. The reception also marks the gallery’s ninth summer on the East End. The artworks are hung and ready for preview. The gallery is open from Thursday to Monday, between noon and 5 p.m. The reception is free to attend.
