Ticks and Tick-Borne Disease: What You Need to Know (Zoom)

Riverhead Free Library will host a Zoom talk on ticks and tick-borne disease with Jerry Simons, PA-C, a member of the medical advisory panel of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s regional tick-borne disease resource center and an assistant professor at Stony Brook Medicine.

Simons will discuss diseases carried by different species of ticks found on the East End, along with symptoms, diagnostic tests and treatment options. The program will also include tips on preventing tick bites.
