Turtles of Long Island at Mattituck-Laurel library

The Mattituck-Laurel Library will host an interactive program with the Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons focused on the native turtle species found on Long Island.

Participants will meet some of the rescue’s turtles and learn why turtles are important to the ecosystem, the threats they face and practical ways residents can help protect them locally. A turtle-themed goodie bag will be provided to all participants.
