An America 250 lecture about the enslaved women whose labor helped sustain the Long Island economy in the years leading up to and during the American Revolution will be presented by Melanie Cardone-Leathers at the Suffolk County Historical Society Museum, 300 W. Main St., Riverhead.

The talk uses a PowerPoint presentation to explore the experiences and little-known roles of Long Island women during the American Revolution. Registration and advance prepayment are required.
