Defensive driving course at Mattituck-Laurel Library

Mattituck-Laurel Library will host a six-hour defensive driving course sponsored by the American Safety Institute.

The class is approved by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Participants who complete the course are eligible for a 10% reduction on liability, collision and no-fault insurance for three years, and a four-point reduction on their driving record.

The nonrefundable fee is $35 per person. Payment can be made online or by cash or check at the library circulation desk. Checks should be made payable to Mattituck-Laurel Library. Participants are asked to bring lunch or snacks.

Minimum enrollment is required to run the class. If the minimum is not met, registrants will be refunded the $35 fee.
